SEOUL, South Korea – [Date] –
LG Uplus (
www.lguplus.com) today announced that its children’s experiential learning platform
KidsTopia has surpassed
2 million cumulative subscribers worldwide, reflecting more than
double growth in just six months since exceeding 1 million in January.
KidsTopia provides children with an immersive virtual learning environment that integrates
AI-powered conversational NPCs, interactive play, and gamified content design. Moving beyond traditional one-way video education, the platform allows children to
engage, converse, and learn about animals, nature, and languages through safe, interactive experiences.
Since its domestic launch in May 2023, KidsTopia has steadily accelerated its
global rollout. The platform is now available in
11 countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, the U.S., and Japan, with recent expansions into
Australia, the UK, and New Zealand.
As service coverage expanded, the share of overseas users increased significantly. Overseas access accounted for
42% in June 2023, rising to
67% by June 2024. The U.S. market has shown particularly strong momentum, with users increasing by approximately
340% in just three months compared to March.
User engagement data highlights the success of collaborative content developed with external organizations. For example, the
Earth Love Explorers Mudflat Experience, launched in April, drew approximately
40% of its traffic from overseas markets such as the Philippines and Malaysia. Similarly, the K-pop girl group
If I’s promotional zone surpassed
130,000 visits within three months, resonating with global audiences.
In early July, LG Uplus further enhanced engagement through
gamification features such as daily missions and in-app challenges, reinforcing user motivation and content immersion.
Looking forward, LG Uplus will expand collaborations with partners across
animation, ESG initiatives, and advanced science, creating content that delivers both educational and social value.
“As KidsTopia grows globally and attracts more international users, we have been able to expand collaborations with diverse partners,” said Minkoo Kim, PM of the KidsTopia Task Force at LG Uplus. “We will continue positioning KidsTopia as a trusted global experiential learning platform, offering content that children actively engage with and parents can rely on.”
