Provides biodiversity learning through virtual tidal flat experience… Adds K-pop girl group experience zone
Introduces a convenience store theme where children practice English by speaking with foreign customers… “Immersive K-content to expand for the global Alpha Generation
LG Uplus has launched new experiential zones in its digital kids’ theme park KidsTopia, allowing children worldwide to explore Korea’s unique ecology and culture in a virtual environment.
KidsTopia is a platform where children can interact with AI characters in a 3D virtual space while experiencing themes such as foreign languages, animals, dinosaurs, and space. The service is available in Korea as well as the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and other countries, with 1.6 million cumulative subscribers to date.
KidsTopia is gaining particular popularity overseas, with about 60% of monthly active users now coming from outside Korea.
In line with this global growth, LG Uplus has introduced new zones that let children experience Korea’s natural ecosystems and culture. With this update, KidsTopia now offers tidal flat exploration in addition to existing themes such as the zoo, dinosaurs, and forest.
LG Uplus recreated Korea’s tidal flats, designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site for their ecological significance, within KidsTopia’s virtual space. In the tidal flat zone, avatars can collect more than 120 species or learn through quizzes. Information on native creatures rarely seen abroad—such as the Korean blue crab, horned nerite snail, and giant mudskipper—is included, enabling both Korean and international children to enjoy learning about biodiversity.
LG Uplus has also opened a K-pop experience zone featuring ifeye, a six-member girl group that debuted on the 8th of this month. In the zone, children can view videos and photos related to ifeye, watch virtual performances of each member’s character, and even follow the dance moves with their own avatars.
In addition, LG Uplus has introduced an AI English Experience Convenience Store, designed to help children learn foreign languages through play. In this zone, children role-play as convenience store managers and interact in English with AI customers of various nationalities and professions. Based on real-life conversational scenarios, the experience enables children to learn language skills naturally.
